25/05/2021: PHOSAGRO GRANTS FOR ATTENDING STUDENTS
PhosAgro is kindly providing 4 grants of 500 € each for the best 4 posters presented in presence in Venice.
This special grant will be awarded to the best posters which will be selected by an international Scientific Jury during the Summer School. 
The awards will be assigned to 2 women and 2 men, regardless of the country of origin.
In-person participants will present their posters on Monday 5th and on Tuesday 6th, and the winners will be announced on Wednesday 7th.
The awards will be given to the winners during the Closing Ceremony, on Friday 9th .

25/05/2021: UNEP SURVEY FOR GREEN CHEMISTRY SUMMER SCHOOL ATTENDEES
Dear students,
We would like to inform you that the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), in collaboration with the Summer School Organizers, will send to all the participants (online and onsite) a Survey on Green and Sustainable Chemistry a few days before the beginning of the Summer School.
You will be requested to answer the Survey by the first day (Monday July 5th, 2021), so that the data may be collected and analyzed to be discussed with you before the end of the Summer School. Stay tuned!

25/05/2021: SYMPOSIUM ON WOMEN IN CHEMISTRY, ONLINE, 1st JULY 2021
Please kindly provide the nomination before Friday, 4th June 2021, by submitting the module that you can find below by email to icb.events@opcw.org.
The theme for this year’s symposium is “Fostering a Culture of Promoting Peaceful Uses of Chemistry”. This year’s thematic topic underlines that more women need to be engaged and represented in the international endeavour to prevent the re-emergence of chemical weapons and to bring the benefits of peaceful chemistry to all.
The symposium is open to women who:
(a) have a minimum of a first degree (BSc or equivalent) in chemistry, analytical chemistry, or chemical engineering from a recognised university or institution;
(b) have professional working experience in academia, science and technology institutions, chemical industry or industry associations, or regulatory or promotional agencies related to chemical sciences.
Due to the impact of and restrictions posed by COVID-19, this symposium will be held online via Microsoft Teams platform.
Completed nomination form should be addressed to the International Cooperation Branch, OPCW, Johan de Wittlaan 32, 2517 JR The Hague, Netherlands, and submitted by email to icb.events@opcw.org, indicating “Symposium on Women in Chemistry” at your earliest convenience, but before Friday, 4th June 2021.
